Tool:
Reflecting on Your Playful Learning Practice

Regular check-ins and reflecting on our practice is important to ensure we’re delivering a joyful, engaging, and supportive learning environment for our children. Whether you’re an Educator, Caregiver, or Facilitator in a Playful Learning space, this self-reflection form serves as a guide to check and improve the quality of your interactions, support children’s emotional well-being, and prepare engaging activities for them. Download the Self-Reflection Form to improve your own or your organisation's approach to Playful Learning.

Practice:
A Child-led Flea Market

Our ‘Pictures of Practice’ offers a closer look into how we bring our teaching philosophy to life at the Papagoya Micro-School. Each practice captures our commitment to hands-on, meaningful learning experiences. In the first Picture of Practice, our child-led flea market shows how learning comes full circle through Idea - Application - Action. Working closely with our learners, we planned this event together—starting with open discussions to understand social issues, exploring the work of different NGOs, and deciding as a group where to make a difference. The flea market gave our learners ownership of each step, from brainstorming ideas and creating products, to managing sales, tracking funds, and donating to their chosen organization. Download this Picture of Practice to read the full story and see how we put child-led learning into action.
